Organizing for America (OFA) will open a New Jersey headquarters in New Brunswick on Saturday. The OFA State Director is Samantha Gordon, a former aide to Gov. Jon Corzine. The group is a project of the Democratic National Committee formed to continue the grassroots network formed in the state by Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign. Gordon is charged with building support for Obama's agenda, including health care reform.
"OFA is excited to establish its New Jersey headquarters in New Brunswick. New Brunswick is a fitting home to continue the grassroots effort to ensure the voices of New Jersey residents are heard in Washington on important issues like the need for health insurance reform," said Gordon. "OFA's Headquarters will service as the basis for OFA's statewide operation in New Jersey and as place for local phone banks, canvasses and community events."
