Criticism of the Department of Homeland Security isn’t hard to come by this morning, after Janet Napolitano said yesterday “the system worked” after a passenger nearly set off an explosive aboard a plane Friday.
(On the “Today Show” this morning, she said, “Our system did not work in this instance.”)
On FaceBook, Peter Vallone Jr., chairman of the City Council’s Public Safety Committee, wrote, “the administration, after days of not issuing any statements, finally concluded, ‘the system worked’????? thanks pravda.”
Glenn Thrush, on Twitter, said she’s “proving why no one in the right mind would possibly want to run DHS. What’s a good DHS news cycle look like?”
