State Sen. Paul Sarlo (D-Sanzari) denies that he’s not intellectually up to the job as Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee.
“I’m looking at a wall right now with a masters (sic) degree and 2 professional licenses hanging on it,” Sarlo said in an e-mail to PolitickerNJ.com.
Sarlo also apologized for using profanities while presiding over a meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee last week. When the panel failed to approve the nomination of his friend, quadruple-dipper Nicholas Fargo, to the Hudson County Board of Taxation, Sarlo said: “That’s bullshit. Bullshit. Bullshit.”
“I perfectly and intelligently expressed my frustration and disappointment at a Republican colleague whobroke protocol,” Sarlo wrote. “In the future I pledge to only use words that contain at least threesyllables and which constitute proper King’s English befitting a scholar and a gentleman.”
