TRENTON — Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini said that she’s “honored to have been rumored” to be up for a post in the Christie administration, but that she will keep her seat in the assembly for at least the next two years.
“I’m very excited about today and working with Chris as governor,” she said.
Angelini stood next to her daughter, newly sworn in Matawan Councilwoman Toni Angelini, as she made the rounds before watching Christie gets sworn in. She said that she had not been interviewed for any positions with the state.
When asked if she would “definitely” be in the assembly at least until her term is up, she said “yup.”
