Castner moves to private practice

The law firm Gibbons P.C. has bagged Gov. Jon Corzine’s most recent chief counsel.

The firm announced today that Bill Castner, who until last week was in the governor’s office, will join as a director and will work out primarily out of its Newark office.

Castner , 37, was recently appointed by Assembly Speaker Joseph Roberts (D-Camden) to the State Commission of Investigation.  Before serving under Corzine, he was executive director of the Assembly Democrats under Roberts.
