Chen heading back to Rutgers

After a four-year stint in state government, Public Advocate Ronald Chen says that he anticipates that January 15 will be his last day.  He will return to his old job at Rutgers Law School in Newark, where he ran the Center for Law and Justice before Gov. Jon Corzine picked him for a cabinet post after the 2005 election.  Chen does not expect to be retained by the new governor, Christopher Christie, and the conventional wisdom is that the new Republican regime will eliminate the department entirely – again.
