Ex-Corzine aide seeking Trenton Council seat

T. Missy Balmir, a former aide to Gov. Jon Corzine and U.S. Rep. Rush Holt, has launched her bid for an At-Large Trenton City Council seat.

A Trenton school board member, Balmir currently serves as Assistant Commissioner of Operations at the New Jersey Department of Human Services.

“This will be a grassroots campaign focused on strengthening our community and uniting our city,” stated Balmir.  “It’s time for Trenton to get back to basics – with a renewed concentration on putting our residents to work, redeveloping blighted parts of our city and investing in our shared future.”

Balmir and her husband, Gerard, live in Trenton’s West Ward.
