Former seven-term Assemblyman and Republican Conference Leader Guy Gregg, along with former Deputy Attorney General Jason Orlando, have joined the Trenton lobbying firm IMPACT NJ, owned by former Morris County Prosecutor Michael Murphy and Jersey City Housing Commissioner Raj Mukherji. Orlando, a Harvard Law graduate, is the son of Francis Orlando, the Assignment Judge of the Superior Court in Camden County. Mukherji and Murphy have close ties to South Jersey power broker George Norcross and Newark Mayor Cory Booker. Gregg, who is a longtime Morris County ally of Christopher Christie, left the state’s third largest lobbying firm, MBI/GluckShaw, to make the move. Murphy, also the son of late Governor and Chief Justice Richard J. Hughes and the brother of Mercer County Executive Brian Hughes, served as County Prosecutor while Christie was a Freeholder in the county.
