Basically what we have on our hands now is Discount Bonanza on the Green. Swan topiaries and golden weather vanes sold for half their estimated value. A 5-foot-tall bronze bear statue fetched a mere $18,000. Big-ticket items like the Wormy Chestnut paneling were pulled after failing to meet their reserve bids.

Auction officials anticipate a tag sale for unsold items sometime in the near future.
