Susan Bass Levin has plenty of political savvy, so she walked away from her job as the powerful Deputy Executive Director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey just as Republican Christopher Christie was taking office. Levin knew that Christie would want his own person at the Port Authority – last week he named State Sen. Bill Baroni (R-Hamilton) to the post. It’s no shock that Christie got his way at the embattled Passaic Valley Sewerage Authority: Bryan Christiansen, a protégé of ex-Bergen County Democratic Chairman Joseph Ferriero, said he will resign on March 1. Last week, Christie named a close ally, former Acting U.S. Attorney Ralph Marra, as the Chief Counsel to the Sports and Exposition Authority. With the former federal prosecutor watching the Meadowlands for Christie, how long will it take the CEO of the money-pit NJSEA Dennis Robinson who was brought in by Jon Corzine to start sending our resumes?
