Is ‘Editorial Advisory Board’ Now a Hot Search Term?

Demand Media, one of the so-called “content farmers” producing articles based on search algorithms, is looking to spruce itself up.

paidContent reports that it has assembled an editorial advisory board of established figures, which is always good for a gloss of legitimacy. The board will include “Andrea Wong, who just left as president and CEO of Lifetime Networks; Teri Schwartz, dean of the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television; Ernest James Wilson III, Ph.D., dean of the Annenberg School for Communication at USC; and Kevin Z. Smith, president of the Society of Professional Journalists and a longtime leader in the area of journalism ethics.”

Jeff Jarvis was apparently asked to join and declined.
