Worth noting was a Star-Ledger Auditor report that two powerful State Senators from Union County, Republican Thomas Kean, Jr. and Democrat Raymond Lesniak, have become business partners. Kean and Lesniak have each invested $100,000 for a piece of an alternative-energy startup company founded by Adam Zellner, a former top aide to Govs. James E. McGreevey and Jon Corzine. Kean is the Senate Minority Leader and Lesniak chairs the Senate Economic Growth Committee.
