Despite being put on notice that they could lose state financial aid this year, the Rahway City Council has decided to spend $90,000 on a piano that will be loaned to the Union County Performing Arts Center.  The handmade Fazioli Pianoforti F-228 will be used at the Klavierhaus Piano Conservatory, which Mayor James Kennedy is key to Rahway’s cultural renewal.

To celebrate the piano’s arrival, Vassily Primakov, a Russian-born pianist, will play a concert at the arts center on Sunday.
