Dr. David Rosen, the Legislative Budget and Finance officer for the non-partisan Office of Legislative Services, will appear before the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee on Thursday. Rosen is expected to update the panel on the current FY2010 budget and discuss the outlook for the FY2011 budget. Rosen has also been asked to review the state’s tax revenues and budget in light of the current economic conditions.
This will be State Sen. Paul Sarlo’s first meeting as the new Budget and Appropriations Committee Chairman. Sarlo moved from Judiciary to Budget last month after Barbara Buono vacated the post to become Majority Leader.
