Governor Christopher Christie nominated Dr. Janet Rosenzweig as commissioner of Children and Family Services, and Raymond Martinez to head the Motor Vehicle Commission.
Rosenzweig, a Pennsylvania resident who was executive director of Prevent Child Abuse, NJ between 2001 and 2007, is currently a consultant who primarily works as the acting executive director of The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality. She is also a former director for the Mercer County Department of Human Services.
Martinez, a Middletown resident, is the former deputy U.S. chief of protocol and diplomatic affairs for the Department of State and the White House. Between December 2000 and December 2005, he was the commissioner of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.
Christie also announced that he would keep Superintendent Rick Fuentes as the head of the New Jersey State Police, according to The Star-Ledger. Fuentes was originally nominated former Gov. Jim McGreevey in 2003.
