Don’t we all have at least one comic book nerd/friend who insists on the mind-blowing sophistication of the genre? Take a look at (and tell them about) the very fun and imaginative Axe Cop— an awesome web comic imagined by 5-year-old Malachai Nicolle.
With help from his 29-year-old brother Ethan, a graphic artist (who takes care of the illustrating, and, you know, the actual writing since Malachai can’t write yet), Axe Cop follows the adventures of –yes! – Axe Cop (and his brother, Flute Cop, who carries a recorder) plus a sidekick, who is by turns an avocado and a soldier. It has everything a comic should, brilliantly distilled by the mind of a young graphic artist connoisseur: action, tragedy, revenge, evil villains, flawed heroes, and plenty of super powers. There’s a lot to love. And just imagine what Malachai might be dreaming up by age 16.
