Larry Seabrook has been charged by federal authorities with a 13-count indictment of stealing and misusing public money. He pleaded not guilty and, so far, has not said he has any plans to vacate his City Council seat.
Seabrook is also an adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice (insert ironic joke here). He teaches in the African-American Studies Department (Room 3508N if you’re in the neighborhood).
I called a spokesperson for the school and asked if Seabrook was still teaching there, and was told they’ll get back to me.
UPDATE: Spokeswoman Doreen Vinas said: “I have no comment on whether he’s remaining or not.”
