The International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers (IABSO&RIW) Local 68 today endorsed Trenton Councilman Manuel “Manny” Segura for mayor.
“Manny Segura has always been a friend to Labor, and we’re proud to offer him our support,” said Morris Rubino, business manager emeritus of Local 68. “Manny is constantly fighting for working families, and we know that he has the experience and the plan to make Trenton’s neighborhoods safer, improve the schools and bring real jobs to the city. That is why we’re standing with him as he campaigns to be the next Mayor of the City of Trenton.”
Local 68 represents Ironworkers in Mercer and Burlington counties, as well as parts of Somerset, Middlesex, Hunterdon, Monmouth, and Ocean counties, and has 300 members.
“I am humbled to receive the support of my friends at the Ironworkers Local 68,” said Segura. “I want to thank my good friends Morris Rubino, William Linder, Sam Rubino and the members of Local 68 for their support over the years. I look forward to working with the Ironworkers, and the rest of the Labor community, to make Trenton great again once I become mayor.”
