Americans for Prosperity wants Governor Chris Christie to put a nail down on legislation passed this week that would bail out Morgan Stanley’s foundering Revel Casino project in Atlantic City.

“At a time when Governor Christie is stripping away millions in state aid and telling the people of New Jersey to ‘sacrifice’, he owes it to them to prevent $350 million of their tax dollars from being used to subsidize special interest bailouts,” said Americans for Prosperity State Director Steve Lonegan.

Urging the governor to stop the bailout, Local 54 casino workers, environmental activists and American for Prosperity organizers rallied earlier today outside the Revel Casino offices.

News from the Philadelphia Inquirer today that a bulk of the materials being used for the project would come from China, further irked Assemblyman Pete Biondi (R-Hillsborough), one of a handful of legislators who on Monday voted against the bailout.

“I think this is really deplorable,” Biondi told PolitickerNJ.com. “We have a project of significant magnitude and they’re making an agreement with material from China. This was well hidden until after the vote.”
