Departing Congressman Eric Massa is certainly taking some of the shine off Rahm Emanuel Week.
“Rahm Emanuel is son of the devil’s spawn,” Rep. Massa said this morning–in addition to describing an awkward shower encounter. “He is an individual who would sell his mother to get a vote. He would strap his children to the front end of a steam locomotive.”
Oh, but it wasn’t always so. In this campaign video, Mr. Massa explains to his children that Mr. Emanuel is head of the D.C.C.C. and that he’s coming to visit to help with their dad’s campaign. Mr. Emanuel arrives and tells Mr. Massa–with an impressively straight face–“I don’t want you on T.V. tonight to be angry. Just take it down a notch.”
“I am who I am,” Mr. Massa tells the camera later. “I’m not very refinable.”
