Eric Ulrich, the Republican city councilman who is backing Rick Lazio, doesn’t like the idea of Steve Levy joining the Republican ranks.
He referred to Levy joining the G.O.P. as “Wolves come in sheep’s clothing.”
“There already is a Republican candidate for Governor. Any attempt to dump Lazio for Levy will undoubtedly create an unnecessary civil war within the New York State G.O.P.,” Ulrich wrote in an email.
