The Assembly Budget Committee will meet today to consider Gov. Christopher Christie’s budget plan for the Department of Health and Senior Services, and for the Department of Environmental Protection.
Assemblyman Louis Greenwald (D-Voorhees), the budget committee chairman, says the panel will give considerable attention to Christie’s proposed fee increases for hospitals.
“For the many New Jersey senior citizens living on fixed incomes, Gov. Christie’s plan to charge them significantly more for life-saving prescription drugs – along with slashing their property tax relief – is potentially devastating,” said Greenwald “We will give these plans a thorough review.”
