In considering whether to write a big biography of President Obama, David Remnick said he was more worried about the New Yorker than the glut of post-election Obama books.
“Part of the hesitation to take it on is: I have a day job. But once I got over that…” he told David Gregory, who was curious why Mr. Remnick would bother to be write about someone who had already written so extensively about himself.
But Mr. Remnick said he had “been thrilled by a few stories to a crazy degree” in his time as a reporter, and this was one.
