Developing story: Zisa will resign top cop post, may face criminal charges

Ken Zisa is expected to resign as Hackensack Police Chief tomorrow, and sources say prosecutors will charge him with helping a woman avoid prosecution for a serious motor vehicle offense.  Zisa was a Democratic Assemblyman from Bergen County for eight years before running unsuccessfully for Sheriff in 2001, and came within just a couple of votes of winning a special election convention for State senator in 2005. Update: Sources say that Zisa is accused of intervening to quash DUI charges against his girlfriend.
