Do Viewers Have an ‘Insatiable’ Appetite for TV Shows About Food Writers? Gael Greene to Find Out

Former New York restaurant critic Gael Greene might be getting a series on Starz, to be based on her 2006 memoir Insatiable: Tales from a Life of Delicious Excess. (In other news: Starz does series now?) Variety notes that the book recounts “Greene’s life in the New York swirl in the 1970s and ’80s when her perch as New York magazine’s food scribe gave her entree into the culinary and sexual revolutions of the era” and is replete with “lusty detail on her affairs with famed chefs, porn stars and her experiences among the Studio 54 set.”

“Hooray,” says Greene on her website.

This sounds distinctly more exciting than Gourmet’s Adventures with Ruth on PBS. [Via Eater]
