ELEC: school board member must report value of recycled or stolen campaign signs

Mel Myers, who lost his bid for re-election to the Hopewell school board last week, must report the value of his used Christopher Myers for Congress signs as an in-kind contribution on reports filed with the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission.  According to an ELEC spokesman, there is a value to the signs – regardless of whether they were stolen or recycled – and that Mel Myers would incur a filing responsibility for the use of the Chris Myers signs.
