–The penthouse at 140 Perry Street, listed for $19.5 million, finally sold to a Songbird Properties LLC for $14 million (the owner was rumored to have refused offers of $12 million). With 8,100-square-foot interiors and 3,500-square-foot terraces, the penthouse of the former stable building has 16-foot ceilings and five wood-burning fireplaces. It was listed by Prudential Douglas Elliman’s Jan Hashey. Filed: 4.16.10

–Antiques dealer James Grafstein sold his home and antiques store at 236 East 60th Street to Lindstrand International LLC for $3.2 million. The one- to three-family home and first-floor store/office does not appear to have been listed. Filed: 4.16.10

Ali Al-Ali bought a $2.84 million apartment at 255 East 74th Street from a seller listed as Mantor LLC. The 1,900-square-foot, high-ceilinged apartment in the luxe new development was listed by Sotheby’s Austin Schuster. Filed: 4.15.10

Renee Berman and Elliott Brown bought a $2.4 million apartment at the Merrion Condominium building at 215 West 88th Street. The prewar condominium on Broadway has been recently restored, including a marble lobby. Filed: 4.16.10
