Last Night’s TV: Al Gore Doesn’t Like Ambush Journalism

Bill O'Reilly finally got his interview with Al Gore. Kinda.

Bill O'Reilly, who has been trying to get an interview with Al Gore for over a decade, finally took matters into his own hands last night. Or, more accurately, the hands of his nebbishy producer. During The O’Reilly Factor segment, “Reality Check,” ambush journalism pioneer Jesse Watters tried to sneak an interview with the former Vice President and it goes as you’d expect: Mr. Gore smiles, says repeatedly he won’t participate and then just walks away. On a scale of one-to-awkward, though, things do get pretty awkward.

Conan O’Brien wasn’t the only former Tonight Show host making news on Monday. Current (and former) host Jay Leno announced that band leader Kevin Eubanks was leaving the program after 18 years. In honor of that, Mr. Eubanks actually got to do more than just laugh.

And on his late night show, host Craig Ferguson used some stuffed animals to helpfully explain the premise behind KFC’s new heart attack sandwich, the “Double Down.”
