Local official gets college job after ‘exhaustive national search’

The result of what Stockton College called “an exhaustive national search” has resulted in the appointment of Hamilton Township Committeeman Harvey Kesselman as the Provost and Executive Vice President of Stockton State College.  Kesselman, a career educator, was the only Democrat to win in Hamilton last year; he edged out Republican Richard DeFeo by about twenty votes in the general election.  As a school board member, Kesselman led the fight to require public school teachers to contribute toward their health insurance coverage, according to his biography.
