The results of a Rasmussen poll released today show that if a Tea Party-supported recall effort went through, 39% of New Jersey voters would vote to recall the Democratic senator.
The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide survey indicates that 34% would vote to let him stay in office, while 27% are not sure.
“Just 12% of those polled are following news stories of the recall effort very closely, while another 28% say they’re following it somewhat closely,” according to Rasmussen. “Overall, 45% of voters in the state approve of the way Menendez is doing his job, and 45% disapprove. Those figures include 12% who strongly approve and 25% who strongly disapprove.”
