Gov. Christopher Christie will not reappoint Associate Justice John Wallace to the New Jersey Supreme Court, according to a Democratic State Senator who says Christie told him of his decision personally. Wallace, 68, will become the first sitting Justice under the current State Constitution to be dropped from the top court after seven years. Had he been reappointed, Wallace would have served in reaching the mandatory retirement age of seventy in 2012. Wallace is also the only African American on the New Jersey Supreme Court.
