After broadcasting the first episode of Meet the Press from its new HD studio in the NBC News Washington, D.C. bureau, David Gregory spoke to his staff, champagne flute in hand.
The host began to cry in the middle of his remarks, while discussing the milestone.
“This is a big moment for me, because it’s really the next step for me and for the program,” Mr. Gregory said. “It has not been an easy transition, but I’ve always felt like I’m never alone in that.”
