With thousands of teacher layoffs proposed by Michael Bloomberg, it’s understandable that these guys were the least happy people walking out of City Hall earlier this morning.

Jackson told me city lawmakers “have to argue with the state,” in order to get more funding, to stave off the layoffs. When asked if any teacher layoffs would be acceptable, Cabrera told me, “None at all.”
