There will be no jail time for former North Arlington Mayor Leonard Kaiser, who pleaded guilty in January to income tax evasion charges. U.S. District Court Judge Dennis Cavanaugh sentenced Kaiser, a former executive director of the Bergen County Utilities Authority and a former Bergen County Freeholder, to one year of probation. Kaiser’s wife, Barbara, also received one year probation. Kaiser admitted that he used campaign funds for personal expenses.
