Bergen County Democratic Chairman Michael Kasparian has asked former Hackensack Police Chief Ken Zisa to resign his seat on the Bergen County Board of Elections, and will ask Gov. Christopher Christie to appoint Joseph Ariyan, the party’s lawyer and a former State Senate candidate, to replace him. The job pays $16,100-a-year. No word yet on whether the switch will take place before Tuesday, when the Board of Elections will count votes in Mahwah, Ridgewood, and Teterboro’s non-partisan municipal races.
