Commissioner of Environmental Protection Robert Martin will testify before the Assembly Environment and Solid Waste Committee at 2 PM today to discuss New Jersey’s environmental priorities for the year.  The committee will also consider legislation that could help Highlands Region landowners get a fair value for their property.

“In New Jersey, we have the overwhelming mandate of our state’s residents to continue our policies to protect and preserve the environment. We look forward to examining closely, the DEP’s priorities for the rest of this year to ensure that they fulfill our obligation of responsible stewardship of the environment that is crucial to our survival, to our economy and to our quality of life,” said Assemblyman John McKeon (D-West Orange), the committee chairman.
