After a second count of about 141 provisional ballots in the race for Mayor of Trenton, Councilman Manny Segura now leads Public Works Director Eric Jackson by two votes for the right to take on former Mercer County Freeholder Tony Mack in a June runoff. This tally comes after a second public count of the day.
“The people of the city of Trenton have spoken and now it’s time to turn our sights to the run-off,” Segura said in a statement released this afternoon. “I want to thank my supporters, my organization and the residents of this city for giving me the opportunity to continue to lead the wave of change that is necessary to bring this great city together.”
