The Washington Post reports this morning that the president’s latest Supreme Court pick could come any day now.
No one is really sure who it will be. Four candidates have met with President Obama at the White House–three of whom have been discussed a lot: 7th Circuit Judge Diane Wood, Solicitor General Elena Kagan, and D.C. Circuit Judge Merrick Garland–and a Western wild-card, Montana Judge Sidney Thomas.
If the pick doesn’t come today, The Post tells us, it could come tomorrow. Or next week.
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs told the press the nominee will be announced on a day that ends in “y.”
