Early Sunday morning, a truck full of bread was rushing from a bakery in Englewood, N.J., to Manhattan to deliver croissants and scones to some of Keith McNally’s restaurants, including Balthazar and Pastis. But when the driver was making his first delivery, the truck was stolen with all of the baked goods inside, reports Page Six.

“Yes, we lost a truck full of baked goods,” a manager confirmed to the Post.

The restaurants had to make do with the bread products they had. When the Daily Transom strolled by Pastis on Sunday afternoon, the patrons seemed to be enjoying their brunch, unaware of any significant bread shortage.
