Results from a Rasmussen poll today show that 51% of Jersey voters approve of Gov. Chris Christie’s job performance and 45% disapprove.
These marks include 33% who “strongly approve” and 31% who “strongly disapprove.”
In the specific context of his fiscal decision-making, 46% of voters give Christie good or excellent marks for his handling of the budget. Thirty-six percent rate his performance in this area as poor.
Eighty-two percent (82%) of Republicans and 60% of voters not affiliated with either major party approve of how Christie is doing as governor. Seventy-three percent (73%) of Democrats disapprove, according to the poll. While 73% of voters in his own party and 53% of unaffiliateds rate his handling of the state budget as good or excellent, 61% of Democrats think he’s doing a poor job.
