Assembly Republicans Wednesday released the 2011 budget, which legislators will vote on Monday.
The $29.4 billion plan contains the changes agreed to by Gov. Chris Christie and Democratic legislative leaders earlier this week.
Legislative budget committees will review the plan this week, beginning Wednesday with a planned senate hearing.
“This budget represents the first step in reining in the reckless spending we’ve seen over the last eight years, said Assembly Minority Leader Alex DeCroce, R-Parsippany. “It is time to hold government accountable instead of relying on taxpayers to shoulder the burden. New Jersey is finally on course to restoring fiscal responsibility with this plan.”
