Summer is here, which means guilty pleasure reality TV-watching is at a fever pitch. If you (like us) are a secret fan of Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance we’re here to bring you great news: On Tuesday, June 22nd, Women United in Philanthropy will host “Dance United,” a terrific event at Studio 450, featuring a performance by So You Think You Can Dance’s Desmond Richardson.
But, if you’re more into the cocktail bar than the ballet barre, have no fear–dance professionals will be on hand to help you cha-cha and merengue the night away. And if your favorite dance is people-watching, head to the upstairs lounge and cool your heels on the rooftop terrace while sipping cocktails and taking in the amazing Manhattan view.
All attendees can enter to win incredible door prizes, such as private dance lessons with renowned flamenco dancer/choreographer Óscar Valero and a pair of Jimmy Choo dancing shoes. Proceeds from “Dance United” will benefit United Way of New York City’s Supporting Transitions from Early-education to Public Schools (STEPS).
