Bradley Tusk Kept Collecting

As Liz pointed out earlier today, a familiar name showed up in Mayor Bloomberg’s latest disclosure filing: campaign manager Bradley Tusk collected his regular salary–$13,500 every two weeks–through the end of January, according to today’s filing from last year’s re-election effort.

As I wrote in last week’s Observer, Mr. Tusk has become the go-to guy for several causes favored by the mayor since running Bloomberg’s massive re-election campaign in the fall.

Tusk advised Harold Ford Jr.’s short-lived quasi-campaign in January and February, and was tapped by charter school advocates around the same time, to lead the group’s political efforts. He is currently an adviser to the mayor’s friend, Staten Island District Attorney Dan Donovan, who is running for attorney general.
