The National Journal’s Cook Report, which rates every House race in the nation, has changed its rating on the 6th District.
The report has moved the district to “solid Democrat,” giving incumbent Democrat Frank Pallone the nod over Republican and Tea Party endorsed candidate Anna Little.
Little, who defeated Diane Gooch in a primary, has raised little money in her bid to unseat Pallone, reporting just $16,000 on hand as of June 30. Pallone has a huge war chest, with $4.1 million to spend.
Until yesterday, the Cook Report had rated the race as “Likely Democratic,” which it describes as “not considered competitive at this point but have the potential to become engaged,” before moving it to the solid column.
