New York Replaces Jody Quon

New York editor Adam Moss has grabbed Jennifer Miller from Cosmopolitan to replace Jody Quon as his photography director. Ms. Quon was scooped up with four others at the end of April in Stefano Tonchi’s first round of hires for W.

JENNIFER MILLER NAMED PHOTOGRAPHY DIRECTOR AT NEW YORK MAGAZINE

New York, NY, July 28, 2010-New York magazine editor-in-chief Adam Moss announced today that Jennifer Miller has been named the Photography Director of New York magazine.
 
Miller comes to New York magazine from Cosmopolitan, where she has served as Photography Director since 2009. She also previously held the title of Photo Director at Jane Magazine for seven years, at George magazine for three years and at the art and culture magazine Tar for one year. Additionally, Miller has worked at Magnum Photos, produced a look book for Rag & Bone, and taught photography at Parsons.
 
“Jennifer’s background is gloriously eclectic; she brings experience navigating all points on the art/commerce continuum.  Her superb taste is evident in all things she does,” says Moss. “I think her impact here will be pretty immediate.”
 
Miller replaces Jody Quon, who is now Creative Director of W. Miller will join New York magazine’s staff after Labor Day, but will begin contributing on fall projects prior to that.
