Public affairs firm Front Porch Strategies has named Roselle Council President Jamel Holley as its new president.
Holley, who handily won his local Democratic Primary in June, replaces Joe Waks, former chief of staff to Assemblyman Joseph Doria (D-Bayonne).
Holley is the frontrunner to challenge Mayor Garrett Smith next year with the backing of the Union County Democratic Organization.
