Do you like Mad Men? Do you like buying clothing without trying it on? Well then you’re in luck!
As reported in today’s WWD (subscription only), home shopping channel QVC will soon offer a line of clothing from Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant, called Mod by Janie Bryant. Starting in September, the line will offer “fake-fur jackets and capelets, reversible satin swing coats, brocade boleros, pencil skirts, skinny pants and colorful crystal pendants and pins” priced between $26 and $138.
The collection is based on the hues and patterns of animal prints, with silhouettes inspired by the Fifties and Sixties. Cardigans have detachable fur collars and beading detail, and capelets come in cheetah and snow-leopard patterns with matching pillbox hats.
We’ve been saying pillbox hats are due for revival. Though, we imagine that the comparaisons to TV’s greatest salesmen will put a lot of pressure on QVC’s on-air personalities.
