Science fiction may want us to be spooked by the very idea of human cloning (even while Hollywood has tons of fun with the idea), but hey, if you can’t beat them, why not join them? Take a look at this site, which gives you in-depth instructions on how to make your very own life-size paper clone.
The directions, provided by the site Instructables—which began life at the MIT Media Lab —are detailed yet written with good humor. (The reader is addressed as “Frankenstein Jr” and told, “Create a clone and experience the joy of a buddy that is never mean and always loyal and, most important of all, resembles you if you want him to.”) We won’t pass judgment on why you want a paper clone version of yourself, but do know that your doppelgänger can be completed in about 13 steps, which should take about seven days—a number fitting for creation.
