Adler’s pitch: come to the Jersey Shore – and work for me

As the most highly anticipated congressional matchup of the season intensifies, the campaign of U.S. Rep. John Adler (D-Cherry Hill) is turning to Craigslist in search of volunteers.

Ridiculed by the Adler campaign as incapable of raising big dollars early, the campaign of ex-Eagles football star Jon Runyan read the ad as evidence that Adler doesn’t have any enthusiasm on the ground.

From Craigslist:

“Congressional campaign located in South Jersey by the Jersey Shore is hiring paid canvassers immediately, to work through Election Day on November 2nd. …salary is $10 an hour. We have two shifts available: 2pm to 6pm and 4pm to 8pm. We are open 6 to 7 days a week, but you can choose your own schedule. Must have top notch communication skills, a willingness to go above and beyond expectations, and a strong desire to make our government more accountable to its citizens. Experience preferred, but intensive training will be provided.”
