SEIU Local 617 plans a protest at Newark City Hall tomorrow against Mayor Cory Booker’s proposal to privatize sanitation services. 

Rahaman Muhammad, president of SEIU Local 617, which represents more than 3,000 public service workers in Newark, said the protest will be held “in the spirit of the speech delivered by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in support of striking sanitation workers the day before he was assassinated.”
